So you gained 3 hp and lost 3.5 ft/lbs of torque? How much did it cost and do you think it was worth it?

no ricks header is supposed to gain you 6hp 4 tq in the mid range and 1-2hp on top. The dyno graph shows a loss of HP top end beause they bolted it right back onto the dyno after the header install and no driving around.

Would like to see another ricks dyno

if your goign aftermarket header make sure you have a heat shield or vented hood.

I have both.
Many people run a header and do not have the heat shield or a vent hood and have had no problems. Most after market headers do not have the bolt on points for the heat shields. Rick's has them and I am running th elower shields, but not the upper as you can see from the photo.

I never did a dyno before I had the header, so I don't know what the difference was. The dyno I did do after it was put on looked very similar with the same results as the one posted in the link.

Those results are too close. Not to burst anyone's bubble, just making an observation. Keep in mind dyno results can fluctuate by 1% add to that heat issues and ECU reset(if applicable), things could be a wash.

Sorry, I looked at the graph wrong. You lost 3 hp and gained 3.5 ft/lbs of torque.

To make up for the 3 hp lost, I added a SC w/ AC. That got me the 3 hp back.
