awww crap... i juss got my ambers taken out today and i noticed that i have notches too... am i just imagining things or can removing the housing actually screw with the aiming? if so how can i correct this? BTW i only used to have one notch now it looks like i have two

Okay, after RT's comments about one notch at a distance, two close up, I checked my car last night.

Well, my lights hit the road way in front of the car and still show a two notch pattern, as the notches are a few feet apart at a distance of 15ft or so. So whilst I agree they will eventually converge, only at a distance that is irrelevant to the use of headlights as by then they will be too dim to see anyway.

And besides, as it appears, a number of us can/used to see only one notch.

Just my two pennies worth

I can't tell distinctly enough more than about 50' away, but at that distance I still have 2 notches a foot or two apart. Mine are like WRS2k's second drawing, not like Bill L's.
