Default Heated Seats in s2000's....anyone attempt this?

I'd like to know if anyone has attempted or done this before? It's not unusual for most convertibles these days to offer heated seats. My girl loves it and I think she would enjoy the top down motoring much more if we had heat under us

I'm going to use a set of OEM sets but wanted to compare notes with anyone who has done this before....anything to avoid?

Brand you used?
Where you located the switches?

thanks
rick

I could swear someone attempted and documented a heated seats option here. Of course, search is down...

Here's a DIY: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=450364&st=0

Search is down, but if you google "site:www.s2ki.com/forums put search here" it works pretty well.

So many have done this actually. TopGear has the link for the DIY. I've been wanting to do this for awhile but I am just too afraid to open up my seats.. LOL

Yep! That's the one!

Let us know if you get around to doing this one Rick. Your other write ups were amazing and I'm sure you'll add some of your own flavor to this mod as well. Might even encourage me to do it!

EDIT: Looks like Breeze automotive no longer carries the heated seat kit...

I got heated seats in my 06+ for driver and passenger. One of the best mod that I've ever done for the car.

thanks guys for the info! Pulling the seats apart is no biggie as I've done 2-tone custom interiors on my past s2000's

I figure since I have it torn apart I want to try a quality aftermarket heated seat setup. I already have ideas on how to wire and conceal the switches. This is one option I wish Honda offered....time to do some improvement.

We await your creation with baited breath. Also, let us know where you purchase the heating components from.

Did you DIY? Any recommendations for seat heater kits?

Well... myself and my community did it together. I believe I bought it from this website right here. We have the switches installed and located near our cig. lighter. One on the passenger side and one on the driver's side.

At that time we contacted them to see if they would do a group buy and they honored it. It had to be a certain amount of people that were interested in purchasing it in order to get it at a group buy value.
