Heavy Duty Trunk Springs?
I'm installing a Veilside GT wing and am upset now that the heavy duty springs can only be ordered with an OEM wing, not separately! What a crock!
I guess they expect us to order an OEM wing and toss the wing in the garbage...
Does anybody have any ideas? or a part #?
Thanks!
SH

I'm pretty sure you'll have to call them for the specific parts but I see no reason why they wouldn't be available.
Good luck,
Steve R.
Many owners who have installed the OEM lip or wing have not installed the heavy duty springs as they are not really needed. You may find this with your new wing. All the trunk lid needs to do is have enough "spring" in it to pop up just enough to unlatch when you unlock it. Since the trunk lid when fully open is about vertical (or just past), it doesn't need heavy duty springs to hold it there, even with a heavy wing on it.
However, if you must have them, I'm sure there are many owners of OEM lips and wings who didn't use theirs that they would be happy to sell them to you. I just gave mine away to another local owner a few weeks ago.
Post something up in "Wanted to Buy".

I got a set of heavy duty trunk springs for my civic from a salvage yard. They looked brand new and cost less than $10. Since an s2000 is a rarer car the springs may be harder to find, but they're out there.
