heel toe is useless unless you are breaking hard going into a turn. Rev matching is more idea for regular street driving, which i do 95% if the time. Dumb racers/ricers think i'm reving at them. And friends who aren't into the aspect of vehicular dynamics always look confuse when i do it.

[QUOTE=SIIK2NR,Oct 1 2007, 06:41 PM] I only heel toe when I'm driving aggressive in the twisties or if I'm just practicing entering turns.

actually had an instructor that didn't rev-match. I was like WTF in the beginning. But then, he was just as fast as anyone else who did ...

For whatever reason, I'm much better at heel-toe downshifting than downshifting without braking. So I maybe I always brake late, as I feel the need (and want) to heel toe downshift with each turn.
I love hearing my exhaust as I downshift. I think I do it differently than other people tho, as I blip the throttle for every gear I skip (I put it in the gear, not letting out the clutch), so from 4->2 I will blip once going through third and once in 2nd. So I guess my heel toeing is slower than most peoples too.

I tried soooo many times, and I ONLY got it once. I think my feet are too big and retarded.
It's easier to do it properly with big feet. Just roll your foot on to the gas pedal, don't try to be to technical about it, just roll it over so some gas is applied. It only takes a very small blip or touch to get 90% of the effect.

Heel/Toe is a horrible name for it anyway.

That's one of the greatest sounds. And it's the main motive for doing heel-toe.
the girls like the sound too...well, maybe it's also the braking late part that. this one girl kept pushing against the dash as if that would slow it down

I do that sometimes too. Weird For some reasons I just don't let go of the clutch, but I still downshift and blip the throttle.
