Open the door. Pull down unitl the entire housing comes loose. This takes quite a bit of pressure. Then work your way around until it is completely off.

I took a small drill bit, placed it where the pins are in the hinge. Others have used a coat hanger, but it didnt work for me. I used a drill bit and drill that was about the same size as the pin (It is hollow). Put the bit through, turn on the drill and angle it to create pressure and pull out at the same time. It is tricky.

There is a small spring on the left side (Facing the door) that allows the door to open slowly. DONT LOSE THIS.

Put back the same way.

I just did mine this week.

I just turned on the drill with the bit through the hole, applied pressure to the outside while pulling out.

Make sure it is big enough to just barely fit through. As you turn on the drill, angle it a bit to catch it, then pull easily out (I did it fast but smoothe)

Regardless, the inner pin should spin once it is grabbed onto by the bit.

the coat hanger worked well for me. use only that last little bit that actually does the hanging and break it off. then straighten out that end, fit it in the hole, and wad up a rag and put it on the end and push. when you're done (and not thinking it will actually work), you'll end up with a nice, round, bloody spot on your palm just like me. just got mine on thursday.
