I meant that with a regular USDM OEM driver's mirror and the soft top up I had such a blind spot that twice I almost hit cars on different occasions as I was moving from the travel lane to the passing lane to pass people.

The JDM convex mirror installed on the driver's side solved my blind spot permanently. No more embarassing and potentially damaging episodes.

For me, the convex mirror is WONDERFUL. I also combined it with putting spacers behind the inside mirror mounts (Do a search on "mirror mod" or something like that) so it adjusts further out. The 2 together are just perfect.

Also I didn't use any of the "goo" at all on the new mirror and have had no problems in over a year.

Well it hit 93 degrees here today so I took another shot at that mirror swapout. Sickening sound but yeah it came out. Actually it was MUCH easier taking it off than putting the new one on. Getting those top clips in was a royal pain. BTW my stock mirror had two very large blobs of the white sticky stuff which I dutifully transplanted to the convex mirror. Hopefully I did everything right and it won't drop out on the highway at speed
