Thanks for the replies guys...the sound is definitely metallic. And it's definitely the 'tell-tal heart' - driving me nuts...I suppose it will test my zen capabilities to just ignore it...hehehe

I'm gonna try and poke around this weekend and see if I can find anything.

H82W8 & RedY2KS2k - I'll try both suggestions! - it would be just like this problem for it to be not what I'm expecting...

VTEC_Junkie - your right...IF I can't figure it out - then I'll learn to live with it....but until then...

Sometimes on a turn I get noise like something is sliding across the floor. I checked the trunk and even the cup holder for loose change. Nothing...and it doesn't happen all the time.

This may sound like it is coming from left field but.....

check the adjustment and relube the attachments for the hood. I had a similiar wierd clicking noise, although it sounded like it was coming from the passenger foot well. The hood was the culprit... WTF?!?!?!?

as for the loose change, there is a fair amount of loose space underneath the center console. It is not uncommon for change to sneak under the cup holder and rattle around. I think Rick Hessel has posted easy directions with pictures about how to remove the console cover.
