2005 350z roadster is slower than a stock s2000.. no if ands or buts.. and its not really that close. It would probably be less expensive to add forced induction to your S than trade it in for any of the other cars you listed.

What you should do is just go out and get like a 2002 M3.

Fast fun pretty good handiling (not like the S) but pretty good, looks hot, and you can choose if you want a convertible or not.

Just my .002

The 350Z really isn't slower than the S...and even if it is, it's extremely close. The 350Z feels a HELL of a lot faster since it has torque, and in some ways it's a lot more fun.
Yeah, but you said the roadster, which is the convertable one right? Cuz that one is alot heavier than the standard 350, and slower. But the new 350z with the new engine is gonne be a beast.

The roadster and the coupe are both slower...but I don't race any of my cars and the 350Z in general feels a lot faster than an S2000. Plus I think it looks awesome with the top down...just not a fan of it with the soft top.

Corvette. The rest of the cars you mentioned are still slow.

STi's and Evos are slow too - have you ridden in one? And 350Z?

Unless you are near 400 whp, any car is going to "feel" slow according to what you're looking for. I know what you're wanting - and I know that you are not going to be happy unless you have a car that is in this kind of power range.

Love C5 Corvettes, and today I finally got to take a good look at it... man people were not exaggerating about the Cavalier interior.
That said, it's a fantastic performance bargain, since you're buying it used itll hold its value very well, and well from the outside it looks great. I'm just still getting over the interior door handles, <sigh>.
If you're going to go with the Z roadster, you might as well keep the S. F bodies are great quartermile cars, I mean seems like everyone compares their import to these cars when it comes to the 1320. But then you would get the benefit of that in a lighter, more attractive package with the Vette.
