Ok so this is my fist post here Im a freguent lurker and am usually on vwvortex as well. But I sold my Jetta and am getting as s2000. The only thing is im torn between a couple of different ones.

The current different options.

1.00 S with only 21000 miles and always been garaged. It also has upgraded speakers head unit leather shift column, stop tech brakes, intake, and ground control coils. It is super clean oh and has oem spoilers as well. And was adult owned.

2.00 S with comptech supercharger and comptech exhaust among other things, am looking at it tommorrow morning but am obviously a little sketched about a previously owned supercharged car although I am fairly mechanically inclined. Charger has been on for 20,0000 car has 45,000.

3. 03 with 31000 miles and 7 year hundred thousand mile warranty. Have not looked at it yet but from the pics def. not as clean as 1. Its basically stock except for some shizty looking dvd played in the dash.

So far im kind of sticking with 1. cause the thing was soo clean. But I have heard there are some problems to look out for with the 2000 year models. So any insight and advice to help with the decision would be much appreciated. Thanks.

i would go with the 03 personally if its not ghetto fabbed. also make sure that if the dvd player is actually cut into the dash, that the warranty is not voided. there are a few things that are improved. IMO the 03 was the best year that u can buy (you get 9k redline plus ap2 bonus')

I definately wouldn't want to get the supercharged S2000. I'm pretty sure it has been beat on. So option 2 is out. And 2000 is the very first year of the S2000 so there were some imperfections. You might want to avoid it. It's all up to you now. Good luck.

 

go for the 03. the 00s have some problems that might be small, but will start to piss you off over time. if the 03 seems to only have a DVD player that you don't like, you can easily take it out.
