I'm just curious, but when is a change considered a modification? For example, if one were to put on an RM racing front splitter instead of an OEM spoiler, is that a mod? Both are a simple front spoiler, but one happens to be designed by Honda. On the other hand, it happens to be an aftermarket or optional part from Honda.

To take it to a further extreme, someone mentioned above that changing the brake fluid could be a mod. Is it? What about changing the oil for anything other than what Honda originally puts in it?

What about adding a leather console cover to an '00 or '01? Is that a mod? If so, then what about the fact that it now comes standard on an '02?

My point is simply that anything could be construed as a modification from the fluids the car uses to the simple cosmetic or performance additions that people add.

God forbid you might replace the gasoline that originally came in the car.

Just a thought.

Report the thread, Bieg did. And I don't blame him.

This is a thread with decent intentions... It obviously has the potential to either fly off the handle or remain civil, since the "mod vs. don't mod" discussion is heated as-is. However... individual replies such as the slander against Bieg will NOT be tolerated.

I debated deleting/editing those few individual slanderous posts, but I'll digress for now.

Maybe I am wrong, but wasn't the AC Cobra a modified Bristol ACE with a 427 side oiler? I would say that would make it the most modified car ever! I had a "trailer queen" GTO Judge before my S2K. I will be the first one to tell you, once you get a car restored to that status, it is no fun anymore. You can't even drive it without constantly worrying about it. Just my .02, enjoy your car.
