Default HELP!!! Need to know how cut Billet Aluminum? If possible

Installed the AEM CAI last week. With the empty engine compartment I ordered the RMRacing front frame cover.
In trying to install found that it is approximately 1-2" long in the front. Loosened the AEM CAI to try to create as much
room as possible but still could not get it aligned for mounting. My options are to return or try to cut a 1/4 moon around the AEM CAI. I have a good selection of tools and am very handy. Can this be done with a carbide jigsaw bit or other? Not sure how hard the aluminum is and don't want to attempt and ruin if not possible. Please help.

Thanks!!!!

You don't need to use a saw. In fact, I wouldn't. A cylinder-shaped griding bit or drum sanding bit that fits in a drill is what I used. It worked fine.

Typically aluminum is a soft metal, so a couple of grinding bits on the dremel should be more than enough to do the job. To finish it off, take a piece of rubber tubing cut to the size of the cut edge, slit it down its side, and slap it on to the cut edge to make it look good and clean. Have fun.

Guess what I will be doing tomorrow. I will be sure to take pics for those who may have the same issues later.
Thanks for the expertise Rick and S2KRob!

With the Dremel, you just have to be sure not to let the bit slip over the edge and scratch the surface. A large drum sander bit on on a drill minimizes this risk.
