Well I got the car back yesterday, finally. The new transmission feels great, and it's quiet! I can now hear the engine as opposed to gear backlash. Of course, it couldn't be easy though...as I was departing the service station, I noticed the steering wheel felt kinda loose, so I immediately turned around and went back. Turns out they had only torqued down one of the bolts on my steering linkage . I'm still waiting to hear from AHM as to whether I'll get reimbursed for the pressure plate and throwout bearing. On the plus side, there were only 6 extra miles on the odo when I got the car back. Funny the tech didn't notice the funny steering wheel behavior tho.

To make matters worse, I discovered that the radio code I was given by the dealer I bought the car from doesn't work . So now I have no radio...sigh...oh well, guess I'll just have to listen to the engine instead .

On a side note, there was a new black Ford Thunderbird in the parking lot when I picked up my car. I hate to say it, but that thing actually looked pretty cool (I always thought it looked like ass in the photos I saw). I took some pics, and will post some soon.
