My s2000 is notoriuosly "rackety" and quirky with the top up. You hear things that you don't hear with the constant wind rushing through the cabin. Yes, the s2000 feels and drives a LOT smoother on a warm summer day with the top down. Having warm tires helps as well as cold tires transmit more noise then warm ones.
