Hi, I recently bought a S2000.. need some advice
Well I really want to start tuning up my S2k, however when I purchased the car I also bought a 5 year warranty "Honda Care." Couple of my friends told me if I tune my ride, warranty will not cover it anymore.. What can I possibly do that does not clash with the warranty? I'm planning to purchase swift springs very soon, will that be ok? Well thank you for taking your time to read this..
Basically, if you modify a part of a system, then that system might not be covered if it fails.
For example, if you put on a high flow cat they probably won't warranty any o2 sensors.
Or if gears are grinding and you have a short shifter installed they probably won't like that.
If its a big enough problem, you could always put the stock stuff back on before trying to make a warranty claim.

HondaCare is NOT a warranty...it is a maintenance insurance policy. They can cancel the policy or deny a claim for any modification. There was an owner who recently posted that HondaCare denied a claim of a blown motor because of lowering with springs/coilovers. The adjuster said lowering increased stress on the diff which in turn made the engine work harder.
If you want to mod...sell the extended "warranty".
