It suppose to be like that. The driver's side beam is lower than the passenger side, to keep from blinding incoming cars.

Congrats on your S.

so you don't blind oncoming traffic.

all cars are like that, not just the HID's.

I did notice though, compare to other HID systems from other manufacturers, our HID is little dim compare to others.

I mean, my Evo had brighter HID.

The reason I think this is because we have smaller projectors than some of the other manufacturers.

That seems to my conclusion but I don't know.

not to hijack but since this is an HID thread, and i know this ? has probably been asked before, if I were to upgrade to 6000k bulbs (yeah I know about less lumens overall) do I need to upgrade the ballasts and ignitors?

Thanks for all the replies.

Last question. So if i am looking at the front of my car with the HID lights on I have a question:

On the left I see that the bulb is positioned not center, but a bit on the lower part of the lens. The right bulb looks like it's directly centered on the lens. Is this correct?

Thanks. If I need to center both, let me know! I bought this S2000 used.

Both sides emit a step pattern, it's just that the driver side beam pattern is shifted slightly to the left. So if you're caught in the middle of the beam, it would seem that the driver side bulb is shining brighter than the passenger which is often the case if you're in a car driving in front of the S2000. You may also observe that the driver side beam flickers while the passenger does not if the S2000 is going over small bumps.

I had to lower my beam angle a bit because so many people would stop me on the road and tell me my lights keep flashing the high beams. I have to just tell them the suspension is tight and that just my car bouncing and the light is hitting them directly at times. Gets annoying getting yeld at on the road so I adjusted my lights
