Default High Beam Replacement...

Just bought new high beams for my S. Am I gonna have to take the whole front bumper off and the lights out just to change em??? I see two holes in my fender wells when the hood is up that seem to lead to the headlights. Can I replace them through there??? Thanks.

just take the bumper off...its pretty painless as their are only the bolts on the bottom, and then 5 screws and 2 bolts at the top, and then 2 more 8mm bolts holding it to the fender lining. I normally have it off in less then 10min. Then if you need to take the headlight out from there, its only a couple more bolts, and lots of wiggling

Once you have the headlight out it's simple and self explanitory. I replaced my highbeams with BlueZone 100watt 4200k Halogen bulbs last week, definately brighter and they match the HID's. Taking the bumper off was easy, even being my first time and without a manual. The headlights were simple as well, but I had to refer to a service manual I found on here. All in all it was a worthwile mod...not because I replaced my bulbs, because I learned how to take my bumper and headlights off in the process which is always good.

Today I'm going to attepmt the suspension

Yes you do. It's not that difficult. See link below for instructions.

I am in the process of clearing my headlanmps, and I have to admit that I was skeptical of the process involved in pulling the bumper. Just follow the directions. It's as simple as 1 -2 -3 in 20 mins, I had my headlights out. I wish I had know it was as simple as it was. the first year I owned my car I installed grille inserts - It would have saved me time and aggrevation to have just pulled the bumper.

You do not need to take the bumper off to replace the high beam bulbs in the S. It is pretty easy to do. I replaced mine with PIAA Extreme force replacement bulbs and they are great ... very white and bright and matches
the HID low beams perfectly. Look at your manual, describes how to replace the high beam bulbs.

unless you have big gorilla hands that can't fit through a 7 inch round hole then i guess you would need to remove the bumper, most people do not.
