Have you people tried to seriously buddy up with your service advisor? He's in charge of servicing your baby, for pete's sake take the guy out to lunch or something.
I dunno, I get great service at the Acura dealer, the Honda dealer, and the independent Honda mechanic guy I use sometimes. Maybe I need to write a "how-to" guide on how to relate to your local mechanic.
I actually get great service at my dealer. My comment is based on the posts that I see here about their dealership, of course we only hear about the bad ones so it seems rampant. But, the Honda service level is nowhere near the Acura service level, even if you have a great Honda dealer.
To some, the automotive side of the Honda badge is a joke. Doesn't mean it's true, but it is how some people see it. Take where I live for instance, one lady asked me what kind of car I had, I told her it was an S2000, she said "Oh, the new Mercedes?" When I told her it was a Honda she laughed and said, "Oh... That's too bad."
She then climbed into her Mercedes and drove off. I wondered how many times she's had her car in to the service department compared to me. But, I live in a stuck up area. This is one of the reasons Honda started Acura in the states, very few stuck up people with a good portfolio would buy a Honda, but Acura... Oooh... Ahhh.... Same with Lexus and Infiniti

Hmm, how does Nissan reliability fare up there with Honda and Toyota? I just recently bought a '91 Sunny with around 80k miles as a winter beater!
It drinks less oil than the S2000, too! Of course, it doesn't see track use....
