Honda Reliability?
MY2002 w/ 32k miles. Some funky internal switch that automatically lowers the driver side windown busted. The window motor still works if I open and close manually using the switch, but it just won't lower automatically as I lower or raise the soft top for some reason.
I got this problem right after my warranty ran out. It would've cost me $200+, but the dealer decided to give it back to me for free because Honda knew about the problem or something... thank God!
Anyway, other than that, I have no problems with my S2k.

I'm on my 2nd one. First one was sold due to my ex complaining.
First S2000 went 54,000 miles, never a problem.
This one has gone 47,000 and i had a bad ABS speed sensor replaced. otherwise nothing.

That is the single dumbest statement I have read in a week.
Who leads the initial and long term relliability statistics? Not Honda.

Honda is 2nd only to toyota in long term reliability. so what is wrong with saying "it's a honda"??
also, in the category of premium sports car, the Honda S2000 is listed number 1, followed by the chevy corvette.
"It's a Honda"
Let's see, my '84 Accord has 235K miles (did just replace the master cylinder and the read brake flex lines), my 91 Accord has 121K miles (had a pin hole leak in the radiator so I replaced it), and my 05 S2000 has 3.7K - yea, they are a real shot in the dark chance

This question goes out to those of you with stock S2000's: Does Honda reliability really show through with your S2000? Have any of your ever got a lemon S2K, or one that ALWAYS needed to be repaired for whatever reason? Or has your honda really proven that's it was worthy of the "Reliable Honda" reputation?
Only reason why I'm asking this is because I'm strongly considering buying/leasing one within the next month, so any input would be greatly appreciated.

Mine's a 2002 with almost 40k miles only two issues:
1) Auto-down on driver's window. I think Honda finally fixed this on newer models.
2) Clutch master cylinder developed a minor leak, dealer replaced w/o issue under warranty.
Overall I'd have to say the car has been VERY reliable, more reliable than our 2004 CR-V, I think because the S2000 was built in Japan and the CR-V was built in the UK.
