I know of a local shop running a S2000 motor with a GM auto transmission in their race car.

If I can't find a clutch I like or if I blow up the transmission, I will definitely consider a 4L80E or 6L80E. I'm not sure if I would ever really pull the trigger, but it is definitely something I'm looking into. For a high power street car, the drivability of a built automatic GM transmission can be very hard to beat.

I understand there is a limo version of the S2000 with a cappuccino maker and 56 inch hdtv for the rear seat occupants.


However, even the limo model has same world's best 6 speed manual.
