Recently looking through the Mega Meet thread I saw a picture of Shigeru Uehara and wondered when he had been this side of the pacific recently. So I looked up S2000 meets and after reading about the 2007 S2000 Homecoming i feel like kicking myself in the ass. I only got my S last January so needless to say its a bit late for me. But I was wondering if there was any word of another such event in the works for this year or anytime next year???


I read this on Motor Trends website with its coverage on the 2007 event:


" According to Honda officials, we may very well be able to expect another S2000 Homecoming in the years to come due to the success of the inaugural event. We think the event was an excellent judge of the strength of the S2000 community and one good show definitely deserves another. "

But was just wondering if anyone on the forum knows more about this.

Probably not. Uehara retired last year so .... Then again you never know.

 

That is the single most depressing thing I have heard this year. I mean good for him and all but man...

 

The S2000 Homecoming last year was great. 800+ cars I believe and great atmosphere. I hear they might plan another in the upcoming years but not official.

 

Word is that the last Homecoming event cost Honda a lot of money. There's some discussion among enthusiasts about adding an entry fee, but Honda isn't currently looking at doing another one.
