Default Hood Adjustment Question

Have an 04 that I just took delivery of and the hood doesn't close quite right. You can push down on it after it is closed and it doesn't seem latched the whole way. Adjusted the latch itself by loosening and sliding it down the whole way. Definately helped, but still not quite right. Should I start playing with where it attaches at the top hinges? I could go back to the dealer but don't want the hassle.

how about the bumpers on the sides and frt?? i'd try that and then if the latch is all the way at the bottom it's time to take it back to the dealer

i think you need to adjust your rubber stoppers to press up on the hood more. there are 4 of them, you just turn them and they will go up or down depending on the direction that you turn them. 2 are in the middle at the sides, and 2 are to the left and right of the hood latch.

One thing to consider...Since the hood is aluminum, you may not want to be pressing down on it once it is down.

Your best approach would be to 'drop' it from about a foot above the bumper. That way, you will not damage the hood by pressing on it.
