I was at the dealer last week, and two techs there could not get the hood to latch. I was standing right there and they knew better than to push down on it (at least in my presence). It latched right away, to their chagrin, when I dropped it from 2 feet.

No knocks to them though, sometimes it takes me three or four tries.

 

hold it up one feet andgently trow itdown. not enough but to a point where it is the equivilent to a 3feet drop
