I couldn't have been more careful breaking her in. I VTEC'ed on schedule and then increased 1,000 RPM for every 100 miles thereafter until I got to about 8,500. I waited another 2,000 miles beyond that to redline her.

I always let her warm well beyond the 3 bars, then I push her to about 6,500 once or twice to give her a good gentle stretch. At that point, I lay into her pretty good from then on. I try to only redline occasionally, but I hit 8000 quite often.

As for corners, I simply can't take them slowly. I know I'll pay for it in rubber, but I bought the car to enjoy it.

No dropping the clutch for me, period. Never done it. I just don't think it's wise. I'm also religious about the maintenance schedule.

That's what the car was made for. If it wasn't, we would all be driving something else.

As others here have said, Drive it like you stole it.
