How to Boost Torque???
I previously owned a 3.2CLtypeS...and without knowing all that much about cars, i defintly feel that the CL had a nicer feel in terms of pick up.
If this has any relation to the amount of torque provided...I NEED MORE TORQUE....or at least would like to
This could also be due to the fact that my S2 is only a month old and i haven't pushed it all that hard.
When you drop the CL in 3rd and Floor it this cars moves like no other...in the S2 I feel a more gradual pull and without even knowing it i am exceeding speeds of 100mph.
Do after market mods like I/H/E significantly boost torque levels?
Or would a super charging or turbo charging be the only solution?
Suggestions??????????

Look at the speedo and rev when you punch it or floor it, I too was somewhat disappointed at first but look at speedo and rev to see how fast it goes up. S2K plays tricks with your head hehe, fellow S2K owner I met few weeks ago said he got 14.2 consistently in the 1/4 but when he drives it on the street it totally feels like 15 second car. I too agreed that it doesn't feel like a 14 second car but really it is!
If you want more torque, get AEM CAI...added +20hp and +10 lbs/ft at VTEC crossover (peak hp stayed the same at 196.8 but peak torque increased to 134.5 from 131.2)

Like most 4 bangers, the S2000 seems to accelerate better if you press the gas pedal a little more gradually. Flooring it is the domain of the big V8s. Of course, once you are in the Vtec range, floor away. I assume you are talking under 6,000 rpm.
Most people don't know about, much less understand the dynamics of acceleration. Inside your intake there are low and high pressure areas. A more gradual opening of the throttle helps to transition these areas and maintain appropriate vaccum and flow rate. I don't know what the values are for an S2000, but I know from driving mine, I can accelerate faster in the upper gears by avoiding the pedal to the metal approach. Try it.
