How do i disassemble Ap1 seats?

Default How do i disassemble Ap1 seats?

I tried to take them apart yesterday but couldn't get the plastic side piece off of the recline lever. How do i disassemble these seast fro shipping?

Pull like crazy on that plastic piece. Be sure to keep your fingers inside the plasic so when it comes off you dont slice your hand open!

no, the lever does not come off with it.

you need to pull real hard on the plastic handle and it will slide off.. don't be afraid to break it, but make sure you pull in a straight line.

After the handle is off, you can undo the philips screws holding the plastic trim and slide it off over the lever. There will be 1 or 2 12/14mm bolts underneath the plastic trim that needs to be removed.. on the other side of the seat, there's a nut where the 2 cushions "hook" together that you need to remove. There's also another 12/14 mm bolt on this side and 4 bolts/nuts underneath holding the cushion together.

Should all come apart after you undo the fasteners.

i got them apart with the link someone posted. thanks!

Just for reference: upstate NY to MN UPS cost 58 bucks for both seats. I thought that was pretty cheap
