Open up the secret compartment and undo the nuts.

Get a thin screw driver, cover the tip with masking tape and pry the caps off. You can also access the screws from above. Pry those caps off. They're just a pressure fit.

On 01 and 02 they don't have the nuts underneath, just the screws through the top.

Carefully pop off the 2 plastic caps with a small screwdriver covered in tape (so you don't scratch the material). Use a phillips head to unscrew the screws and it pops off. It leaves two screw holes in sight.

The instructions are also on Rick's homepage (at least they used to be). http://www.ricks2k.com

My '01 had nuts underneath. I'm starting to think I have an '01 made in '00 with some of this stuff. Perhaps they only phased things out, and some do and some don't. Anyway, took it off and it's now doing just as good a job deflecting air in the hall closet. I can clean the window, grab things in the back w/o hiring a midget or renting a small child. That and a rear well mat are my only mods. Well, I have a small watch velcroed to the hump, and a red towel for my feet to keep the thing clean. Those are my only mods. Except took the air box cover off one weekend for some fun sound..but back on it went. I'll shut up now.

Check on Rick's site. He sells a couple of different windscreens ( I love mine by the way Rick) and the instructions he has obviously mentions removal as well as instillation.
