I thought 125 with the top down at night was enough for me...

137, top down, but due to improper tire balance I couldn't stand the pain of vibration any further than that.

I hope this poll doesn't get seen by a bunch of auto insurance underwriters!

140 in the desert on the way to Phoenix. The car was steady as a rock, just ran out of room so had to back off.

If you go over 80mph on the Autobahn and get involved in an accident, the insurance might not pay a cent in Germany.
You go faster at your own risk even here.
You wreck yourself or your car while doing 200mph - even if it is not explicitly forbidden by law - your insurance won't pay a single cent.
My Ferrari dealer showed me some impressive photos of a completely wrecked F40 - the guy had to brake for someone who changed lanes on the Autobahn and didn't see him approaching at 160mph. No one was killed or maimed.
He didn't get anything from the insurance company.
He drives a silver 550 Maranello now .

This is all BS talk, we all know that S2000 drivers never exceed the posted speed limit

Overtime I have slowly gotten up the nerve to go a little faster on "safe" roads.
First 110
Then 120
Finally 130

Then I went out a few nights ago, and the woman I had taken out flat out asked
"just what will this car do"

Told her to get in the car, put on her seatbelt, and to hold on.
Went out to a great 6 mile straight stretch, a great place to test the car
VTEC
She was pretty calm up until about 125, I looked over and told her to tell me when to stop, as I'm not going to try and really scare someone)

Finally at 141 mph -
I believed we both had enough, and slowed it back down.

Pure THRILL -

It kept both of us pretty worked up for a while, and later that evening

Don't worry about the top speed being seen on a site like this. There is not much ANY adjuster, actuary or underwriter can do, without a ticket or an accident when you hit that "top speed." Just please get the ticket, that only affects your rates, every accident this car gets into in the US affects us all...and of course no one wants anyone else to get hurt or wreck his/her beautiful S2K.

Also keep the car parked in well lit, secured areas (the more thefts of this car the more the car's rate are affected for your comprehensive and collision rates - the same rating number is used for both coverages). This car has a very reasonable rate right now.
