Sorry to hear about that. My personal tolerance level is zero... it would annoy the crap out of me everytime I looked at the car. I would have to get it fixed.

tolerence for keeping em if I get em = 0 here

PDR = 75--->125 per panel...

I had one or got one about the size of a dime - I was sitting in the car parked next to handicapped - considerably old woman pulls in and opens her door to land on mine?? I did a wtf??? but really kept control of my frustration cause somewhere deep down I have a very sentimental place for seniors...and I let her go on her way without giving her a hassle..after all its metal & plastic that amounts to a car...once you remove yourself from the passion for it ... it can get pretty meaningless to get too upset over it...

how exactly do they fix those things and how well do they do it?

i cant fathom things coming perfect... when my entire door and paint is pristine except a little stupid indentation

It depends. The one on my car was a 2" long crease from the edge of someone's door. Not a sharp crease and no paint damage either.

The dent was located low, just behind the door in the narrow space between the rear wheel and the door itself. One of the worst places to get one.

Unfortunately the PDR guy had to drill a hole in the door jamb to get it out, but get it out he did.

Zero tolerance, zero dents. I'm fine with walking the length of a parking lot to keep my car dent free.
but even then,shit happens.

My car is in a garage box at home.
I opened the door to get out (duh) and dented it by hitting the wall, so I glued 1" thick cell-rubber strips of about 10" x 3 feet to both walls at door hight.
No more being very carefull opening a door there

But I'm not freaked-out when my S2000 has a small dent.
Its my daily driver.
I dont keep it spotless in my garage.
