Like most of you all, I too change cars quite a bit. I plan on keeping this car for a very long time, if not forever. I told my wife and friends that I plan on buying evry 1/18 scale model car I have........... the bad thing is that I only have three different models i collect: 1. Honda S2000 2. Honda NSX 3. Eleanor(the car in 'Gone in 60 Seconds'). I have done the S2000. I am working on the NSX(used of course and prolly a 91 or 92). Now Eleanor might be a SMALL problem.

Therefore I am considering selling my Eleanor model and buying a Type R model??? Gotta keep it in the family(Honda that is)!!

As a die-hard Honda owner, I hope to have an S2000 (or new & improved successor, if any) around for a long, long, long time. There's just nothing like it.

A good car is like a good women. When you find a good one, treat her right and keep her. I've owned the MGA for 30 years (it's a keeper), my daily driver, a Maxima for 12 years (it's a keeper), and the S2000 for 1 year (it's a keeper). Check back in a quarter of a century and with a little luck I'll still own all three.

It's amazing how many of us have the bad habit of getting into and out of new cars so often. I actually sat down once and put pencil to pad to figure out how much $ I've pissed away so far. Trust me, you don't want to do this. The taxes alone are enough to make you sober.

I have every intention of keeping this little bugger until the wheels fall off. Is that realistic? Probably not as the "lust" will take over sometime or we'll decide to have kids. We'll have to wait and see. In the back of my mind, I've got it all planned out where I'll have this puppy paid off in the next three years and be able to keep it in my garage as my weekend/play car forever.

The last year Honda makes a roadster, I might replace MY2001. I keep thinking about their first roadster line some 40 years ago. The S400, S500, S600, and the S800. Will the S2000 be the first of another long line ?? I hope so.

Until death do us part!

(Or until I buy a newer model S2000, but that seems unlikely any time this decade)

That is truly incredible. You've actually owned the same car for 30 years!.. Wow.
And the same woman, even longer!

I remember when I used to go through cars too -- But I also remember wishing I had the 'good' ones back. '63 Vette and '67 Camaro to name two.
