how to make s2k into drag demon?
I am glad I got that "clutch drop" need out of my system many years ago in my 71 AMX.
If you still want to Drag race
get another car....
Clutch drops are hard on any car on my AMX (20 years ago)
I replaced the clutch with a HD one and pressure plate only to have the pedal linkage bend due to the 3000 LB pressue plate.

To make the s2000 a dragster you have to spend alot, and I mean a lot of money... Your talking turbo, engine rebuild, drivetrain mods, clutch, flywheel, diff, gears, N2O, and CF body panels to help lose weight... By the time your done your looking at $25k to $30k...
Or you can just strap a rocket on the back and pray!!!!!

I am also curious about this. I am not looking for a drag car but, the one and only time I did a clutch drop from 6000 my clutch did not grab at all. Can anyone explain what happened. I only have 4,500 miles on the car.

It's good to drive the S2000 hard and have fun with the car. You can do this without clutch drops.
So everyone here is satisfied with there cars getting blown off the line at at stop lights by turboed civics, bmws, and eclipses because no one can get a consistant 0 to 60.
That doesn't bother anybody?
I bought an s2000 cause Ive always had hondas and wanted the fastest one available with minimal work but, now im willing to spend another 10 to 15g's. I want to keep it street legal, some of you misuderstood what I was saying.

the bottom line is this is your car to do with what you want , if you want to make a dragster out of it go for it, a lot of people on here dont drive there S's hard or to the limit like others do but to each there own there is someone whos screen name is cjb80 who is building a high horsepower engine upwards of four or five hundred to the wheels so can you say fast 1/4 mile times anyway dont let people get you away from what you want to do just my .02 cents

The nature of the drivetrain design does not lend itself easily or cheaply to being a drag demon. That said, you can start to systematically replace much if not all of the drivetrain to achieve the desired results.
As for being beaten off the line by turbo'd Civics, I would love to see that same Civic keep up with the S2000 on a high speed back road or on a roadcoarse track.
Good luck with your quest. As a starter, look at forced induction for the motor, replacing the rear differential and also look into lightening the body and interior as much as practical and that should get you headed in the right direction.
Or you could just go pick up a Vette, Camaro or Mustang and save yourself a TON of time and money...

Here is my plan to make the S2000 a drag demon:
1. Swap in RX7 Rear End
2. Install custom carbon fibre driveshaft
3. Install Stage 4 Clutch and Lightweight Flywheel
4. Lower compression to 8:1
5. Install Custom Turbo Kit w/ 3" Piping
6. Boost 25psi
7. Place large drag radials on rear
8. Install "GT" Emblem
