With an ECU reflash back to stock, the factory air box put back and the factory headunit reinstalled, I'd be back to stock

My '06 will remain stock -

Until I can out drive and out engineer Honda Motors staff

Until spending money on mods is a better investment than throwing cash in the wood stove for heat.

Most S2000s I see around Marin County appear to be stock and driven by older folks. I too agree that S2KI is just a small segment of total owners, and a lot of modders.

That said, I am sooooooooo happy that my 2006 is still 100% stock. OK, 99.9% - I used Modifry replacement straps in my soft top.

I think some people are just as passionate about maintaining their cars in stock form as you are about modding, so it is easy. When I've had the temptation to mod, I bought the Honda OEM Euro floor mats, or took my time finding the perfect OEM hardtop. Or I do some detailing work and appreciate the car exactly as Honda envisioned it. I take my modding desires out on my Harley!

When I look at a picture of my car like this, I just cannot bring myself to make any mods. And now I live near San Francisco, with a steep driveway angle into the garage, so the wheel gap stays!

A beautiful sight to behold! Looks like we think alike, I'm keeping mine as stock as possible (ok, I did get a glove box organizer...) with the only "mod" being an OEM hardtop. I don't think I can do a better job than Honda in terms of styling, wheels, etc. To me, it's really an amazing and special car out of the box.

Now my Z on the other hand, takes the brunt of my "mod" tendencies!

I am pretty close, zero plans for further modifications anytime soon.

Been bit by the cycling bug...HARD...saving for something for the road that has an all carbon fiber frame.

If you consider European S2000 headlights stock - I kept my car was stock for 11 years. I just focused on modifying my other car.
