Really impressive to hear that . I see some stock S2ks around mostly driven by older people , anytime I see anyone under say 40ish their cars are never stock .I think anyone that has been on this site for awhile and not done anything to their cars don't drive it much ...i may be wrong but after just a few short months i couldn't help myself ...first mod ,took the air box lid off ...after going out and hitting V-tec with no lid on ...I went home and went online bought a prm intake ...the rest is history .Now after an exhaust , new wheels and other goodies my car is so much better I'd never be happy bringing back to stock ...no matter how old I get. The sound and feeling of a car done with tasteful mods i.e. not to loud or to bright etc . is just to much to pass up on .After the work Ive done to my car it went from being really good to great imo , O how I love my little s2k

I would be interested to know how many S2000's are still registered in the USA? Since in the ten years that they were sold the total number was just under 67,000 in the USA.

We need a better definition of stock.

If I were looking at an s2K, with replacement Konis', K&N etc I'd consider it stock for valuation purposes.

If I saw bling, lowering, and engine mods I'd consider it molested and discount accordingly.

where i live i feel like its like half stock (or appear stock) and half lightly modded (bolt ons/rims bumper mods) mine is lightly modded but i have all the stock parts so IF i sell mine which will probably never happen it will still be a ''stock'' honda s2000.

I guess that I'd fail a totally "stock". I've replaced the short windscreen with a taller, engraved one, changed out my '01 door panels to an AP1.5 so I could add tweeters to the new audio system, including a much better head unit, S-Pods with component speakers, and a foot-well concealed sub woofer. The amp to power it is sitting in the spare tire well. I've also added some fold-able cup/water bottle holders that seem to blend in well, keeping them out of the center console area. No engine or suspension mods. I think that to my untrained brain, Honda put more thought into the wonderful car that it is than I could better imagine.

My 2000 AP1 only has an AEM v2 intake, AP2v2 rims, CR radio cover, and a shift knob. Not stock, but easily reversed. I love the look of the car as is, the only thing I'd like is about 50 more horsepower.

My 2000 S2000 is stock except for: Tires (Bridgestone Protenza RE960AS Pole Position), Battery (Duralast 51-DLG) and Windshield.

The only recall items that I had done were Taillight Side Markers (SB 04-033) and Spark Plugs (SB 02-042).

Everything else is just as it was when the car was purchase on 11/22/1999. I have almost 124,000 miles.

I have 2000 s2k as well. Bone stock. Not one single thing is aftermarket non oem. I am the 4th owner.

only non OEM is the blizzaks for the winter but tires dont have to be OEM.

It has 111k and runs strong. Even my speakers are stock. Im always tempted of modding it but trying not to get into all of that again like i did with my e36. I might be selling my s2k soon though ;(
If it wasnt for the fact that it is a pain to get in and out of I would keep dailying it.
