...switching to a high mileage formula Power Steering Fluid is probably going to help the problem. I found that the Honda Steering system takes Lucas fluid quite well.
Finding a reservoir for this fluid, however, will prove problematic.

I don't think I'd buy any used car with more than 50k miles on it, but that's just me.

I used to have cars that aways held tools in them just in case, I go tired of that "lifestyle".

I think it depends completely on the type of car you're buying, and an s2k w/ high mileage is certainly one I'd be VERY selective/careful about buying if it had high mileage. To even consider buying one w/ >100k miles, I'd have to have it thoroughly checked out, and have to get a decent idea of how the owner really treated the car (well, as much as possible). If I got the impression that it wasn't very well taken care of, it's just not worth the hassle imo. A problem that's hard to catch on just about any car is burning oil. A compression test only checks to make sure compression is holding, but it could still burn oil. Either way, on a car this old, a compression test and leak down test would be mandatory for me.

Buying something like a civic/accord/etc w/ high mileage is very much not the same as something like an s2k imo. You can buy many other hondas > 50k miles w/o real reason for worry or concern. At least, that's my opinion on it..

I have 117k on my s2k. I brought it with 90k from a female lawyer. Her husband drove a corvette everyday and she drove the s2k. They replaced the clutch as 85k, dince I've had it I've replaced the leaky cmc, slave cylinder, and a leaky radiator, that's about $400 in parts. So that's not to bad for almost 30k in miles. I do take good care of it and did a full flush when I got it and changed plugs and stuff. I'm hoping to get 180-200k then do a complete tear down and rebuild it. I just want to wait till I'm out of college so I can have a better paying job an afford a badass rebuild

I'm hitting 150K this week on my AP2!

Only had to replace the clutch master cylinder.
