You know, you shouldn't look down on younger s2000 owners just because they haven't been through the same things as you in their life. What does that have to do with driving a s2000?
The way I look at it, as long as you don't drive like an idiot and try to show off, who cares how they got their s2000. So what if their parents bought it fully for them, they are just more lucky than you were back then. So they don't deserve to drive a nice car because they're too young? I think that's absurd.

I feel the same way. I didnt get my first S2k until I was 22. Took me 4 years in the military to make rank, and to have enough $$$ to afford one.
Yes, some kids have wealthier parents than others, but it still sucks for people like me that didnt have that much of a head-start.

I think where he's coming from is that it may sometimes be a let down. Driving a car that you have worked hard for, on your own, lots of bills, etc...then you come across some teenager that has to pay for the car and thats it.

I couldn't afford insurance on it till I was 19 and had a job.. Insurance on the S for males under 25 in Miami is pretty ugly..

Why is it wrong for us to have a head-start? Isn't that what you want for your kids to?
if you dont want to drive the same car that people can have, go make your own or ask honda to make you a special 1 of 1 edition or put age restriction on them.... face it, its reality. be thankful for what you have, dont whine like a spoiled brat who gets upset because his friend got the toy he wanted way before you did.
and you might want to take some business class to realize that S2000 or every car out there is a product. what is it intended for? to be sold and gain profit. unless the car has a driver age restriction.
if you feel that kids who drive S are so spoiled and it is a waste of money when other ppl have trouble even surviving, why dont you yourself give up on your S and give to the people in need..?
face it, we humans are greedy.

one thing i don't understand is how so many people complain about younger guys and girls that are on their parents' insurance policies. so what? you pay less, but you're on your parents' policy. is it that big a deal to be on your parents' policy? if there's a way that you can pay a lot less, why not take it? i guess it's all about the concept/principle of doing it all on your own...but there's no need to complain about people who decide to take the option that will be cheaper for them imho
$200 every 6 months from the time i was 16 to when i got the S
$300 every 6 months from the time i was 17 with the S until now
