my response doesn't really prove your point at all. way to just take any responses you don't like and label them as "proving your point." people who don't really make a valid point do that pretty often.
The fact that you spun out and caused $3k worth of damage proves my point exactly as well.

Try not to wreck your car again, I'm done with you.

and older, more "mature" owners haven't done the same? i think they have. it does not show that i do not "respect my parents' S2000 and nobody respects me," and it does not show that i was "showing off for my friends."

IMO, ethics is what it all comes back to. Doing what is right when no one is looking. Doing the speed limit, not spinning the tires, not racing. Just because you have a sports care doesn't mean it needs to be abused, or driver hard in excess. If you go to an Auto-X, or other safe and sanctioned event feel free. Public roads aren't the place to be pushing your car to the limits. Why, because you spin around and do 3K in damage. It's all about maturity levels.

no need to hate on the kids, if your parents offered to get the car you certainly wouldn't turn them down
Not hatin' there slick, just wondering what their parents pay for insurance. I work with a 20 year old guy who drives a 1995 BMW 325is and pays $340/month for full coverage. Can't imagine what it'd be for an "S". Probably not insurable if those kids weren't on their parent's policies.

I got my first S senior year I an 02 Berlina black with rear OEM spoiler it had 25k on it. I had it for two days when a drunk driver ran a red light and totaled my S. His insurance paid it off and and a month later I found my next S I drove up to dallas it was an 02 Belina black S with the OEM spoiler like the last one with 13k, but it also had the OEM front lip, GrillCraft Grill inserts, and the OEM hardtop. I have put my car through hell learning how to drive it. I have been very lucky that my Mom has helped me with the payments and insrurance wile I attend college. I do however pay for all maintance repairs and modds. Still paying on my new tranny that was a year ago I think.

Of course they have, but in all honesty, the majority is a younger crowd, the ones that think they are invincible. When I was 16, or even 17, I was the same way. Just about every S2k event I've been to, you get the young ones that drive like idiot's, cut people off, try to get to the front of the pack during a drive, etc. It's obnoxious.
