Default How much motor oil????

Sorry guys, I know this one's pretty dumb, but I've searched enough to make me sick, and can't seem to find exactly how much motor oil to put in the engine, WITH an oil filter change. Bought the car out of state, and they didn't give me an owner's manual...!!! Thanks,

Aaron

it's just over 5 quarts. 5.1 or 5.2 i believe. grab yourself 6 quarts and keep the extra if your baby is still burning oil. as always, check your oil at every fill up.

5 quarts. Run engine to check for leaks, turn off, check the level after 5 mins on level ground.

5 qts will do ya. You'd rather be a little under than a little over.

5.5 quarts

5 is too little and 6 is too much.....somewhere around 5.5 for me.

Mine takes 6 quarts with a filter change. This covers all of the x's and reads exactly full on the dipstick. I check the oil level weekly and it never reads over full (and never uses oil). This is an '03 with 10,000 miles. I have done three oil and filter changes now and each time it takes 6 full quarts.

Anyone else take six?
