I'm trying to decide between two different cars, one is a cert. used car from a Honda dealer with the 7 year 100K warranty and the other is private sell. How much more value would you put on a certified car from the dealer?

 

Less than the dealer thinks. I've seen a used car for sale for more than a new one...on the same lot. "The warranty adds value".

 

i say none. stealerships always find a way to worm their way out of work. i always bought extended warranties that always amounted to a waste of funds. now, i'd rather just eat the cost of the repair then gamble on a fake non-applicable warranty.

 

Are you planning on doing ANY mods to the car? If so, the CPO is worth nothing to you. Honda-care is notorious for voiding warranty for even the slightest mod.
