I'd be leery of just filling and taping over the damage. That pillar is a critical part of the roll over safety system. The windshield frame is designed as a roll hoop which used in conjunction with the rear hoops, keeps your pumpkin from being squashed in a roll over accident. That pillar is already pre-bent and stressed. I would imagine it may collapse easily in a roll over.

Wow I never thought of that...thats a good point I'll have to check if the pillar its self is bent or just the weatherstrip.
