Every chance I can get without looking like an ass.

Went for a long hard drive in the mountains tonight, and needed gas. Left the gas station without a little to much throttle on very smooth cement. The unloaded tire chirped and I felt like an ass.

Typically I will hit 8800ish every single day I drive it. See... with the AP1, you can shift a couple hundred shy of redline and still easily be in VTEC when you shift to 2nd

If you aren’t banging off the rev limiter, how else would you know you have reached max hp potential
max hp and tq doesn't occur at red line or rev limiter rpm
Maybe not in your car

It was meant as more a facetious comment anyway, given the laughy face at the end of my comment

Only when it seems 'safe' to - an onramp to the highway/interstate or long stretch of road with no one around - victim of traffic circumstance

Since my "S" is my weekend warrior, I hit VTECH all the time, and Red Line once in a while and only because of my stupidity (and the joy of the sound of the engine at that higher RPM), I forget to shift and hit the Rev-Limiter...

Constantly. Every on ramp, most corners, and some stop lights. Probably 50 times per tank.
