I redline once I'm @ 3 bars( AP 1 ) and I'm entering an on ramp. It's just natural. Rowing through the 1st 2 gears at 8800 always puts a smile on my face.

If I'm driving around town I usually stay under 6500k, too much traffic.

I used to redline often before I went turbo. Now I get crazy fast way before redline so there is no need to take it up there. I hit VTEC everyday because my tuner lowered it to around 4300 RPM .

Usually only have space to on on ramps or on the highway. Get's going too fast too quickly around town to do really do more than a quick punch of the gas.
On ramps I like to open it up a bit as often as I can.

I hear the red line beeper every time I hit the track. Adjusted redline to 8500 with the beeper set at 8200, 8300, 8400 intervals for tone change

I'd spend most of my time in vtec if it was that low, and by most of my time I mean cruising on the freeway

when i dyno'd my car (ap1) power actually started dropping off at about 8600-8700rpms so i decided redline was no longer needed lol. i've never hit the limiter though. used to probably once a week. hit vtec several times a day though
