How to properly run in the engine?
don't rev over 6000 rpm (some said 5500), and very your speed for the first 600 miles is what said in the owner's manual. you should at least do that.
what I did is graduately increase my rpm, EX: for 1st 100 miles, I never rev past 3000 rpm. for 200-300 miles I never rev past 4000 rpm. for 300-400 miles, I never rev past 5000 rpm. for 500-600 miles, I never rev past 6000 rpm....and I don't VTEC too much before my car has more than 10000 miles, because I know the F20C need almost 10000 miles to fully break in.
I use this way to break in all the engines of my cars, it's not necessary, but however I did get a very good dyno result every time...
