Are you sure they gave you the key -- maybe they never did! If so then this whole thing is THEIR fault!

Even if they gave you the key (and you lost it), they should have given you the other "paperwork" that comes with the wheel locks. If they had done that, then you wouldn't be in this problem!

The fact they are trying to charge you some "great expense" for this makes it sounds like they are trying to cheat you. I've heard Honda wheel locks don't have that many different keys. If the dealership was a decent one, they'd offer to open a few packages of wheellocks and try the keys in hopes of getting a quick match!

 

Have you checked if your keys are in the secret compartment? Or maybe you haven't found it yet!
