How to tell if radiator fans are working correctly
A few weeks ago, I smacked a curb after getting cut off abruptly from another driver. I had the front bumper replaced along with some underbody plastic lining. No sheetmetal/frame damage. The radiator was also pushed back and the condensor was knocked off its mounting. I had the car repaired this past week and the repair was done beautifully.
I just have a question (actually 2) - am I right in saying we have 2 radiator fans (one on driver front and one on passenger front)?
And the main question - how would I know that the power connections (wiring) to the fans weren't affected by the hit? So far, the engine temp hasn't been above the normal 3 bars but I'm just worried I might get more bars on hotter days. How do I check to see that the fans would turn on when it should? If the fans aren't working anymore, would I get a certain CEL code? Or any other easy way to know if they are working? I guess I'm just being paranoid but better to be safe than sorry. Thanks.

When you park after a drive, leave the engine running with the hood closed. Things should be hot enough for the fans to cycle on and off. You can hear them rather clearly. (At least, they do here in Texas weather.)
