[QUOTE=Mr Clean,Feb 25 2005, 12:38 PM] WTF? I'm going to state the obvious on this one and say that you and your friend don't know anything about Honda motors. I hate to be an ass hat but this has to be the most ludicrous question I have ever heard concerning an S2000... It makes my head hurt to read it, LOL.

The only difference between Mr.Clean and many others that have read this thread is that he had the guts/rudeness to say what many of us have been thinking.

You do have apoint though. People have learnt things here no matter how dumb the question.

This is not about guts. It's not a poker game. It's not about taking chances. It's a forum where people communicate with each other who shares the same interest in cars. Well, if it's about rudeness, then I don't think our society have any room for it. Rude people usually encounter what they desire and die lonely since no one wants to be around them. And Mr. Clean is heading towards that direction unless he change his style.

I mean, I don't like to go off on anyone like this, or turn this into a big issue. But I have just seen way too many people like Mr. Clean. I'm a IT tech, and I've seen way too many times where my co-employees call someone a dumbass who called about how to use a computer or what this or that is. We are a tech support. We're suppose to be ready to help people who have little knowledge about computers. If they can't handle that, then they shouldn't be in this profession to begin with. A person is bless to have more knowledge than others. And it takes courage to past that knowledge to someone else. If they can't do that, then they should live with the smart people like Newton, Einstein....etc (Dead in the grave).

I just don't like people like those, at all!

The point you fail to grasp is that Mr. Clean is not paid to be tech support for S2000s and neither am I.

I take your point, and I hope you will take mine. Before you ask a question there is a n unwritten obligation to do the minimal amount of research required to not piss everyone off. In this case it might involve opening the bonnet of the cars in question and looking at the engines, possibly noting the engine number. If you still need to ask this question after that then you truly have my sympathy.

Thank you. I never said another VTEC motor wouldn't fit in this engine bay, but it is pretty easy to tell a B series motor from an F20C. It's like not being able to tell the difference between an Apple and a Dell upon first glance (I think you should be able to understand that anaology considering your profession). It's apples and oranges folks.

5.) And finally, if you think a S2000 engine is the only vtec that can fit in there, then tell me how people put a NSX engine in it, regardless of other modification
Just a quick point on this. Anything is possible, although I certainly haven't heard of or seen this particular conversion. Why don't you post a reference to it?

That said, if someone has stuck an NSX engine in your friends engine bay:
1) You'd notice the difference.
2) He wouldn't be falling behind.
3) He wouldn't be complaining.

By the way, his car got an intake, so it should match my stock at least.

Just wondering...What kind of intake is it??? If it is some $39.00 "Ebay" special, his car could actually be losing power...especially if the filter is low quality or dirty.

Also, it may not even be installed correctly. Did he get installation instructions with it???

d.h - have you at least popped the hoods on both your cars and looked/compared???!!!!

We can discuss this ad nauseam, but the discussion isn't going to get the point of this thread figured out until we can see some pictures or you can confirm that there is definietly something different under your friend's hood with a visual inspection. We don't fix cars over the Internet - we can give advice to help you get the issue straight - but we have nothing to help give facts as of yet.

A simple and free solution would be to take the car up to a Honda dealership, pop the hood in front of someone and ask: "Does this look right?" - trust me (as a Honda dealer) we've seen people come up with crazier stuff
