Default HRE wheel prices How much did you pay??

I went to a local Tire and wheel shop and looked for some rims for my S... Most of the wheel manufacturers really did not make a wheel with the proper offsest for the S..After reading the Forums on wheels HRE made a perfect wheel for the S plus no rubbing in big wheel sizes...I was looking at prices for costume HREs and its was almost 5200 to 5700...Is this true for HREs with tires?? Or is the tire and wheel place trying to price thses higher to make money anyones input would be great???

HREs are not cheap, you can't expect custom made wheels to be cheap. The prices are about right with tires depending on exactly what you are looking for. Check with Ben at Bulletproof he carries HREs and will probably get you a better price.

Mine were 4200.00 mounted balanced w tires. 18*8 front 18 *10 back. 235*40*18 front / 265*35*18 out back. Hope this helps...
Oh and the centers color matched to the car and clearcoated.

Thats correct...right before i changed my mind and got a bit crazy customizing them. Color matched to the car, clear coat etc. All came to about 4200.00 in the end. Without these options price was 3500.00

price depends on colors and options you go with. some options can be quite expensive, but for a standard set - which includes centercaps and lugs the prices can still be unreasonable for most people. these are custom one off wheels that are made for you. not a mass produced wheel. only the centers are produced in quantity.
