HT question..
So today i called my local dealership to look at prices for a HT (basically retail price). plus any installation fee's...and i was thinking...you can install the hardtop yourself. but he said their needs to be a initial installation for the hardtop. my question is what is the initial installation? he said they have to drill holes?
first off, the dealership is an idiot. There is no drilling required to install the hardtop.
it's very easy to do yourself, just buy it from hardtopguy.com for $2500 plus S&H and install it yourself in 2 hours. so yeah, DON'T take it to your dealership to be installed.. I've heard of them charging up to $500 in labor!! ask around in your local forum if you don't think you can do it yourself, I'm sure someone there would come by and help you with the install.
