While doing my 15k mile oil change guess what I found in the front springs! You got it - one spring spacer in each front spring. What kind of long term damage could result from this - other than the obvious safety issue? Guess I will be taking this up with the dealer...

Well you're still living.....No Blood, No Foul, right? I don't think it would damage anything, but it could definitely be a safety issue if the car isn't handling as designed to be. Where did you buy your car (Westside Honda or other)?? I guess you know where not to take your car for service if they don't even know how to read the prep sheet...... and i'd be happy to know too, 'cause remember...I LIVE HERE TOO!!!!

What is the handling like now that you have taken them out? I am amazed that
someone can drive 15k miles and not realise that the spacers are there....

I thought you were selling your S2000, Larry! Glad to see you're still around, even if you aren't a happy camper...

Radster - I bought the car at Westside and they are VERY knowledgable. My car was one of the first they sold so maybe that explains it. I TRUST them with the car, they even did the TSB work for the tranny earlier than most dealers. However - I do all the maintenance on the car myself unless of course it's warranty work.

The car feels like it handles the same to me. There was only 1 space at the very top of each front spring. I drive the car pretty hard and cannot tell much difference.

Sondra - yes, I am still here! I decided I better keep it. It's a sentimental thing
