Just had my rear window replaced and it seems larger that the previous one. May just be the new, crease-free view makes it seem so but it does seem wider. Anyone else notice a difference?

Did you have to fight with your dealer to get the rear window replaced? How bad was it when you brought it in?

After thinking it was going to be taken care of right away, I ended up having to argue my cause. Initially, was advised on how to keep the window clean - ala the service bulletin. Explained Plexus had done a pretty good job with that problem and that my concern was the deep crease with several large dimple-like indentions. Emphasized this was not a cosmetic problem but a safety hazard as the view was seriously distorted from the creases. They ordered the parts and replaced it a week later. It doesn't seem to be any more taut than the previous one but it does seem larger as there is less of a blind spot. May just be my imagination. Wish I had measured the original. Definitely worth getting it done, now hopefully I'll be able to maintain it better this time around.

I just received the miata tube and have placed a towel in the well. When I've worked the cramps out, I'll velcro it down. What a chore!!!!
