The other really easy fix is to put half of a velcro "dot" right under the seatbelt where it rubs.

I stuck a furry piece with adhesive side down on the leather. Unless someone is really anal about how the leather looks in a place that can't be seen unless the seatbelt is removed, it was a 15 sec fix to a really annoying problem.

Good ideas. I've had this same problem for the longest time and I've just lived with it. It drives me crazy. I'll have to try one of these.

.....Or get a Lance Armstrong wristband or something similar, remove the seat belt from the guide place the wrist band around the guide and put the belt back on. Voila squeaking is gone.

How, do some of you guys not wear your seatbelts? I feel uncomfortable without it on, I mean how do you keep yourself from moving all over the place. And it really could save your life someday, take a look at any crash test vid.

just my $0.02

man, and I thought I was the only one who was being driven NUTS by that annoying squeaking. Will most certainly try out the felt trick. It seems the sound is caused by the belt rubbing against the leather seat.

And i'd never think of driving without a seatbelt. I've seen it save lives and a friend of mine would be dead if it wasn't for the fact he was wearing one when his car skidded on a wet riad, hit the curb and flipped.

Glad to see that this thread got bumped, as this has been annoying me, too.

I tried the velcro fuzz approach before leaving home this morning, and so far so good. Great idea! HPH

I didn't read the whole thread so maybe somone posted this allready.

Take the belt and twist it or fold it so it "jams" before the guide, it will keep it from moving and still work when it needs to.

If you take the seat-belt out of the guide and rest it on top of it rather than feeding it through, it eliminates the squeak. I just ride around with it like that. The only annoying thing by going this route is that when you take the belt off, it often hides itself behind the seat instead of resting back in against the guide, so you have to dig it out the next time you get in the car. Small price to pay imo... though I'll probably try the felt trick.

Yeah, this seatbelt squeak has been driving me nuts. It took me forever to figure out what it was exactly. So yeah, anyone have pics of their solution? It would be much appreciated!
